If you're tentative, hesitant, or scared to start because you don't trust your own artistic instincts, this workshop is for you. Creative Confidence isn't about teaching specific techniques; it's about breaking down the emotional barriers that hold you back.

This is your official permission slip to make mistakes, embrace the process, and finally trust your judgment.

What You'll Experience:

Over the course of this workshop, we'll use fun, fast-paced art exercises designed to short-circuit your inner critic and develop a mindset of artistic bravery. You will learn to:

  • Silence the Inner Critic: Learn practical methods to move from doubt to decisive action the moment your brush hits the paper.

  • Embrace "Mistakes": Discover how to pivot, integrate, and transform an accidental mark into the most interesting part of your composition—I'll show you that an "error" is often just a starting point.

  • Trust Your Instincts: Practice making fast, committed choices that lead to pieces with more energy and life than your overly cautious attempts.

  • Find Freedom in Limits: Use constraints (like time or colour limitations) to simplify the process and unlock surprising creativity.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners, seasoned artists stuck in a rut, or anyone who wants to bring a more confident, less tentative approach to their creative life.

What You Need to Bring:

All art materials will be supplied but you're welcome to bring any of your favourite art materials along. We'll mainly be using a mix of acrylic, ink & charcoal during the workshop.

Please come prepared with an apron or clothes you don't mind getting messy.

Our cosy lodge at Tawnamoor is an idyllic spot set in the heart of the Cornish countryside on the edge of Cardinham Woods. Surrounded by acres of open greenery and natural beauty this is the perfect spot to feel creatively inspired.
